I've talked to a few of you about this, but all right. Question. People come here because they have to fix themselves, right? That's rhetorical. My real question is, do they actually deserve it or is it just because they can be changed?

We don't actually have that answer, do we?

[Kylar's around every early morning that the Barge isn't on fire or trying to rhyme and sing with itself. With the ka'kari back at his disposal he has a ton of practicing to do. Today's stunt, he tries to coat a training dummy with the ka'kari. Giving it a thick black metalic armor. He knows better than to attack it with Retribution, actually, the ka'kari warned him of that. There will be questions of Why later.

So he tears at it with a dagger attempting every move he can think of. But the dagger is taking far more damage than the ka'kari, in fact, the metal hasn't even dented. When he's done, he wills the ka'kari back into his skin. There's just one problem.]

I think unless you've read their file, you can't exactly judge that.

I take issue with the existence of Inmate files in the first place, but that is a different conversation.

My point remains; I do not believe in the distinction between Warden and Inmate as severely as the Admiral. All of us can stand to improve in some matters -- and some more than others, I am sure -- but I do not think the line needs to be as hard-edged.

So, without those hard edges, you would suggest?

It is difficult to say when the decisions, such as they are, hinge on one man.

Well, you are just one man yourself, right? So what would you do instead?

I would make it so the decision was not mine alone.

A council, yes. That is how decisions are made where I come from. It is wrong for a single man to have all this power.

Maybe he didn't ask for the power, it could've just happened. But, you don't have Kings where you're from?

Not among my people, no. There are kings in other nations, but that is a form of rulership that lends itself to tyranny.

You got me there. But not all Kings are tyrants.

Even as far as the Barge is concerned though, more opinions wouldn't necessarily change the outcome.

It would change who is called Inmate to begin with.

If there were a council to decide it. The decision must be unanimous.

So how is that guaranteed to change things? What if the unanimous decisions are the same?

They may still be, but at least then it would be a possibility instead of a certainty.

Unfortunately, I doubt there will be a counsel involved any time soon. Guess we'll just have to deal with this tyrant.

Rude's kind of the point. [A real tyrant would've done something immediately if he had heard any rude statements, thus it is proven untrue, but. Oh well.] Never mind.
